8. Bridesmaid Dresses and Curtains (Click on picture to enlarge)

I have made bridesmaid dresses for about 6 or 7 different weddings.  They are always happy with the lovely dresses. Even just show me a picture of a dress, and I find a pattern or combination of patterns to make the dress. I have also made quite a few curtains and here are only a couple pictures. I don't have photos of them all, but this gives you a good idea. Bring me a pattern, or even just a photo, and I can make you some lovely curtains.

This dress has a fitted bodice and then a bubble skirt, which is hard to see. A separate sash that she put a knot in instead of a bow. Another shot without the flowers.

A gathered bodice to enhance shape, and then a really gathered and full skirt--a once piece dress. Also a separate sash wrapped around twice and tied into a bow. The girls showed me a picture of a dress they wanted and then I found patterns and fitted them for the dresses. I made my own wedding dress and my sister made the dress for my niece from scraps of fabrics from my dress, with some added blue fabric for color.

I made the maid of honor dress, and from the scraps added trimmings to my niece's white dress she wore for my wedding a couple months before, with a couple of other changes. See the lovely folds of the fabric--a dark olive color. Our bedroom curtains--also nightstand runner in plaid.

Our bedroom curtains--also nightstand runner in plaid. The main curtain is of a really thick canvas fabric, for sleeping daylight hours because of working at night. The green part is attached all the way on top, so one curtain--the plaid is also more gathered than the green.
